Meta/Books founder Delphine Bedel has become a spokesperson for a new generation of emerging artists designers and photographers who publish. Since the inception of the organisation, she has given many lectures on the phenomenon of publishing and coined the expression ‘Publishing as artistic practice’, now widely used.
Public speaking and education are a part of the core mission of Meta/Books. Contemporary photography, art and design, feminism and sustainability, self publishing, photobooks, womxn photographers and their editorial practice, and the role of photography in the digital age are some themes explored in her lectures.
